During the year of 2011, Brazilian government has launched the Ciência sem Fronteiras Mobility Program (CsF). The aim is to expose up to 101,000 Brazilian students and researchers to innovative environments and to the best and most relevant universities around the world. To achieve the goals of the program, Brazilian government invited countries, international academe and industry to collaborate with CNPq and Capes.

Since the launching of CsF, CNPq and Capes have signed agreements with 12 countries (USA, Germany, Australia, Belgium, South Korea, Spain, France, Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Sweden and United Kingdom), four private partners (Febraban, ABDIB, CNI, CISB), four local industries (Petrobras, Vale, Natura, Eletrobras) and five multinational companies (Saab, GSK, BG, Hyundai and Boeing). CNPq and Capes are still open for new partnerships and models to continue building the network and the opportunities to place students and researchers in the most attractive environment not only for academic purpose but also for innovation.

With that in mind the Open Innovation Center – Brazil is hosting a one-day workshop that will gather representatives from countries, academe and industry to support CNPq and Capes to build international networks for innovation.

During this day, it is expected that discussions on new partnerships and creative ways of placing students and researchers abroad will help Brazilian government to build the program.

Government representatives from partner countries or other countries willing to join the program.
Representatives from local and foreign academe.

Attendees shall be fluent in Portuguese or English (there will be simultaneous translation).

Along with the program, partner institutions will have the chance to expose their offers in an exhibition lounge.

It will take place at the Transamerica Hotel in São Paulo along with the Open Innovation Seminar.

The program is divided in four main sessions:

First session CNPq and Capes will present the main objectives, results after the first year and the experiences they had with the partnerships established as well as their expectation for new partnerships.

Second session, subscribed foreign academic partners representing countries and regions will present their scientific and innovation environment as a way to attract researchers and students.

The third session will be dedicated to local industry to present their goals in joining the program and their first experiences.
